Step-by-step guide

If you wish to be operated on in Tunisia, there are 7 steps :

1st step : Consignment of your medical file

You fill in your medical file and send it to us, on our site in the category "medical file", with as much precision as possible on your medical past and your desired intervention enclosing photos of the concerned zones.

The photos are obligatory, they make the medical team able to assess your case, they must be front view and in profile. Your file will be treated as soon as you send them to us.

They must be sent by email to the following address : photos@chirurgiepro.net.

2nd step : The medical team answers

Our medical team studies your file so that you can receive an answer within 48 hours :
If your file is admitted, it means that our physicians have accepted to operate you.
You will receive the physicians report about the type of intervention that will be carried out, its progress, as well as its cost (estimate).
You will be provided with your surgeon's name and coordinates. You will be able to contact him directly by telephone or by e-mail.
Thus, you will be able to discuss with him the intervention, and raise all your apprehensions.
If your file is not admitted, it means that the medical team judged that you could not be operated, and we send you back a message with a report of the unfavourable opinion.

3rd step : The preparation of your intervention and the organization of your journey

A Chirurgiepro assistant will send you the blood examination list and / or the radiological balance to do.
These results should be transmitted to the medical team before your departure, and will be required the day of the intervention.

The date for the intervention as well as the duration of your stay in Tunisia will be fixed according to your availability and the one of your surgeon.

You will have your flight ticket according to the anticipated dates.
Your arrival airport must imperatively be "Tunis - Carthage" airport.
For the hotels bookings, you can, either choose among the different categories of our hotels partners, from the 3 * to the 5 *, of the preferential prices, or do your bookings yourself if you want it.
In this case, you should choose a hotel situated in Tunis, or in the North suburb of Tunis (Gammarth, Carthage, Sidi Bou Saïd, La Marsa …).

4th step : Your arrival to Tunis

Upon your arrival to "Tunis - Carthage" airport, your assistant will welcome you and drive you to your hotel, or straight to the clinic, if your intervention is programmed for the day following your arrival.

She will provide you with a cellular telephone, which will include a credit of call and different telephone numbers you will need there : your surgeon, your assistant, your hotel, the clinic, etc.

Therefore, you will be connected at all times with your family, your friends, and by our team.

She will make sure that your file is quite complete (medical analyses, mammography …), and will give you the clear consent form to be signed by you and your physician before the intervention.

She will accompany you for a preliminary consultation by your surgeon.

Later on, she will be at your service during the whole period of your stay, guide you and help you in all your steps.

5th step : Your intervention

The day of the intervention, your assistant will collect you from your hotel and go with you to the clinic.

She will assist your admission into the clinic, and then accompany you to your room.

There, you will be assisted by the medical staff, and prepared for the intervention.
Of course your assistant will always be at your service, monitoring you, contactable at any moment during your stay in the clinic.
She will visit you after the intervention, and check if you need anything.

6th step : From the intervention, until your departure

The day of your clinic exit (the following day or two days later on recommendation of your physician), your assistant will take you back to your hotel.

If your intervention requires some post operative cares (injections, change of bandage …), a nurse will move to your hotel to do them.

You will be examined twice (or more if necessary) by your physician : once after the intervention, and in general a second time before your departure.

All transport expenses are included in your estimate. You won’t be asked any supplement.

On the day of your departure, your assistant will accompany you to the airport, and will insure the good progress of the embarking procedure.

7th step : Chirurgiepro keeps contact !

Once you return home, your assistant will contact you by mail and by telephone, and will be at your service.
Your surgeon will of course remain available to you at any moment.
