• DO I NEED A PASSPORT AND A VISA TO COME TO TUNISIA?

The passport is mandatory if you travel as an individual. However, if your travel is through an Operating Tour (All inclusive package: Flight + Hotel), a valid ID will be enough to go through immigration.

The visa is not required for EU citizens. For other nationalities, you should seek help with the nearest Tunisia Consulate in your area.

• WHICH CURRENCY IS IN USE?

The Tunisian Dinar is the currency of the country.

1 Euro is approximately 1.6 Tunisian Dinars. Banks have tills and there are ATM machines as well.

• WHAT IS THE WEATHER LIKE IN TUNISIA? ?

Tunisia has a Mediterranean climate.

The summers are hot, all public institutions and the civil service buildings (administrations, airports, clinics, etc.) are air conditioned, as well as hotels and restaurants, etc.

Bring in very lights clothes with perhaps a sports jacket for the evening.

Winters are fairly mild, with some cold spells. Bring in warm clothes, with more than one layer of clothing.

• WHICH IS THE OFFICIAL LANGUAGE ?

Arabic is the official language, but French is understood and spoken by most Tunisians.

• DO DOCTORS AND HEALTH WORKERS SPEAK FRENCH ?

All doctors working with us have full mastery of French and also English and for some they speak Italian.

You will have no problem communicating using your own language with people around you during all your stay in Tunisia.

• IS TAB WATER DRINKABLE ?

Tab water is of very good quality; you can drink it, use it to make coffee or brush your teeth .

However, for daily practice, we recommend mineral water for tourists visiting Tunisia.

• WHAT VOLTAGE IS USED IN TUNISIA ?

The voltage in use in Tunisia is 220 volts, 50Hz, socks and plugs are similar to the ones found in many European countries (Except the UK).

• WHAT ARE THE MEDICAL RECOMMENDATIONS TO FOLLOW PRIOR TO MY SURGICAL OPERATION IN TUNISIA?

The medical examinations to be carried out for every surgical operation are as follows :

A biological check-up (group, NFS, Plates, TP, TCK).

An HIV virology check-up, Hepatitis B and C.

A cardio-vascular check-up including a cardio-vascular examination with ECG for patients over 45 years of age.

A lung check-up if your tobacco consumption is important or if you suffer from chronic breathing problems.

For those suffering from a chronic disease (diabetes, high blood pressure .) we need a recent check-up of their illness.

For a breast surgery, in addition to all check-ups cited earlier, they need to undertake a recent mammography.

The test results of these examinations should be sent to us via e-mail before your arrival and original copies will be shown to the medical team during your pre-surgery examination.

WARNING !

During the 15 days before your operation you must imperatively stop all type of medication containing aspirin (risk of bleeding during and after the operation).

Stop any use of contraceptive means (pills) one month before the operation.

Refrain from eating, drinking or smoking at least 8 hours before the operation.

• WHAT KIND OF PHOTOS SHALL I SEND YOU AND HOW TO GO ABOUT THE WHOLE PROCESS?

You must take photos of all the areas to be treated, facial and side views.

Photos taken using a digital camera or web cam can be sent directly from the data sheet, or to the following e-mail address: photos@chirurgiepro.net

The photos will be directly forwarded to the medical team and will complete your medical files.

• WHERE ARE THE PROSTHESES MADE?

The prosthesis brand is "Euro silicone"; they are made in Europe, of silicone gel that is anatomical.

• IS THE PRICE OF THE PANTY IN CLUDED IN THE DEAL?
