AI-DO I NEED A PASSPORT AND A VISA FOR TUNISIA ?

The passport is obligatory if you travel individually. On the other hand, if you travel through a Tour Operator (all fees included : flight + hotel), a valid national identity card is enough.
The visa is not necessary for the EEC citizens. The others can consult the closest consulate of Tunisia in their country.

WHAT IS THE CURRENCY ?

The Tunisian dinar is the currency of the country.
1 euro is roughly equivalent to 1.6 dinars. The banks are equipped with ticket windows and automatic tellers for the change.

WHAT IS THE CLIMATE IN TUNISIA ?

Tunisia enjoys a Mediterranean climate.

Summers are hot, the public establishments (administrations, airports, clinics, etc.) are all air-conditioned, as well as all hotels, restaurants, etc.
Bring delicate clothes with perhaps a small vest for the evening.

Winters are relatively mild, with some tips of cold weather. Bring warm clothes.

WHAT IS THE OFFICIAL LANGUAGE ?

Arabic is the official language, but French is understood and spoken by the majority of Tunisians.

DO THE PHYSICIANS AND THE NURSING STAFF SPEAK FRENCH ?

All our physicians perfectly master French, as well as English, and some of them, Italian.
You won't have any difficulty communicating in your language during your stay in Tunisia.

IS THE TAP WATER DRINKABLE ?

The tap water is of very good quality. You will be able to drink it, use it to make coffee, and to brush your teeth…
However in the current practice, we recommend tourists to drink mineral water.

WHAT IS THE VOLTAGE USED ?

The voltage used in Tunisia is the 220 volt, 50 Hz, the plugs are identical to those found in most European countries (except GB).

WHAT ARE THE MEDICAL RECOMMENDATIONS TO FOLLOW BEFORE MY INTERVENTION IN TUNISIA ?

The required medical examinations for each kind of intervention are the following :

• A biologic balance (group, NFS, Tablets, TP, TCK).
• A balance of HIV virology, Hepatitis B and C.
• A cardiologic balance including a cardiovascular exam with EKG for the patients of more than 45 years.
• A respiratory balance if your consumption of tobacco is important or if you endure chronic respiratory trouble.
• For those that have a chronic illness (diabetes, hypertension...) we need a recent balance of your illness.

For breast surgery, in addition to the above-stated exams, you have to do a recent mammography.

The results of these examinations must arrive to us by e-mail before your arrival and the original will be shown to the medical team at the time of your preparatory visit.

ATTENTION !

• During the 15 days that precede your intervention it is imperative to stop using all medicines containing aspirin (risk of bleeding during and after the operation).
• Stop all contraceptive medicines (pills) one month before.
• Do not eat, drink or smoke at least 8 hours before your intervention.

WHAT PHOTOS DO I NEED TO SEND, AND HOW SHOULD I PROCEED ?

You must take photos of all concerned zones, face and profile.
Photos taken with a digital camera or webcam can be sent directly with the information form or to the following e-mail address : photos@chirurgiepro.net.
The photos are directly transmitted to the medical team and will complete your medical file.

WHERE ARE THE PROSTHESES MANUFACTURED ?

The brand of the prostheses is "Euro silicone", they are manufactured in Europe, and made of silicone gel and anatomical.

IS THE PRICE OF THE PANTY INCLUDED IN THE FEE ?

The fee that ChirurgiePro offers you includes the panty and all post operative medicines.

CAN I UNDERGO SEVERAL INTERVENTIONS AT ONCE ?

If you want to undergo several interventions, your surgeon will advise you and will give you the different possibilities.

WHILE ACHIEVING SEVERAL INTERVENTIONS AT THE SAME TIME WOULD I PAY THE SAME PRICE ?

If you achieve several interventions, a discount of 15% will be granted to you on the 2nd operation and 20% on the 3rd.
