The blepharoplasty
The blepharoplasty can correct a tired, more aged look or the swollen eyes, due to an excess of skin and grease.
It is made on the lower or/and the upper eyelids, and rejuvenates the look.
For the heavy and drooping upper lids, with a fold of skin, the incision is practiced in a natural fold in the hollow of the eyelid. The excess of skin is eliminated, the scar will be invisible.
The intervention lasts between 45 minutes and 1 hour, under local anaesthesia, with relaxation by intra venous way.
The hospitalization doesn't exceed some hours. The eyes can whimper for some days, some bruises are expected, that persist 8 - 10 days. A solar protection will be indispensable for the first 6 months.
For the lower eyelids, the intervention concerns the rings linked with the excess of skin, the muscular relaxation, or the presence of grease. The incision is practiced on the level of the lashes, or by conjunctival way. The intervention lasts about 1 hour, under local or general anaesthesia. The hospitalization lasts one day, the threads are removed the 5th day, the bruises persist 10 - 15 days.
